Pensacola Goliath Grouper / South Again Charters / 8 October 2013

WHAT A DAY!!! Today I was joine don a quick 4 hour trip with the Rotert Men. We waited Noon to launch so the winds could lay a bit. We started out trying to land a few slot reds... We managed one slot and a nice Mangrove Snapper before a good Friend called and let me know the Bull Reds were on the surface.

We hauled butt and managed a quadruple hook up on Bulls... Swithched gears and ran back in the Bay and caught a quick limit of Red Snapper and thats when it got good... Made a run to a spot in the Bay hoping to hang a Grouper and got a huge surprise!! We hooked and landed a estimated 100lb Goliath Grouper!! I have been running charters in Pensacola since 1994 and this is the 1st I have ever seen first hand! Unreal, thie fish whooped my Angler and me at the side of the boat while we vented and released it..

What a day!!!!

Pensacola Fall Fishing / South Again Charters / Early October Report

What a great Fall it has been so far! The Redfish and Flounder bite has been as good as it gets and with the opening of a Fall Red Snapper season... fishing is as good as it gets! Here are a few pictures of the first part of October'

Pensacola Beach Redfish / South Again Charters / 24 Sept 2013

Today I was joined by the Whitley Grop out of Texas for a quick little four hour trip. We battled the stiff winds and strong current and managed a really nice box of fish!

The bite is getting better and better everyday here in Pensacola! Thanks for fishing with me today Guys and I lookk forward to seeing you again next year!

Pensacola Fishing / South Again Charters / 22 Sept 2013

What a WILD weekend! Great Friend Hallie and I teamed up to fish this weekends Pirates of the Lost Treasure tourney out of the GLYC. The weather both days was horrible with funnel clouds in the Sound and very high winds both days.

We really hoped that by fishing in these conditions we could get on the board early and maybe take home a few checks. Saturday we stayed close to the launch and managed to catch a few mid range Redfish, a few small Mangrove Snapper and a good Flounder.

Sunday morning the winds were blasting out of the ENE at what seemed like 100 knots. We decided to launch to the West and fish close to the ramp. We had an amazing day, we had a great limit of Redfish by 0800 and went in search of other species. Within another 2 hours we had 4 Flounder and several snapper in the box and were once again off in search of another species.

I have a handful of Bay Grouper spots and we decided to hit one of them just to see if we could catch a legal Gag. 2nd bait down Hallie hauled a really nice Grouper off the bootom and we were off in search of Spanish. After boating two nice Spanish we hauled butt to the weigh in to beat the 3 pm deadline.

After the smoke had settled and the checks were signed, Hallie walked away with 1st Pplace Grouper / 2nd Place Snapper / 2nd PLace Flounder / 3rd Place Redfish

We fished very hard and it payed off for us this weekend. Thank you so much to the PLT crew for continuing to put on a great tournament. We enjoy fishing it every year and will be back in 2014 for sure!

Navarre Beach Fishing / South Again Charters / 9 September 2013

Beautiful weather for a fishng trip today... Today started out pretty slow with my top 4 spots producing nothing more than a few trash fish and a few undersized Mangroves.

Made a move to a spot where we located some Reds a week ago and luckily found them biting. We were able to boat 4 really nice slot reds before they shut down. Bouned around for a few more minutes and picked up a few more fish for the dinner table.

Today was a very fun trip with a really fun group! Thank you Guys for fishing with me today and I hope to be able to take you again in the Spring!!

Navarre Beach Guide / South Again Charters / 1 September 2013

Had to work pretty hard today to get the results but it turned out to be a great day!! This is the 3rd time the Hendrix Family has fished with me and we seem to always have a great trip. Today we started out looking for some redfish but fell short. Back up plan was a great Flounder bite that I have been working.... once again, no dice.

We then went in search of the Spanish and got lucky and found a few schools that seemed to want to bite for us. We caught a nice box of keepers and a ton of shorts before we dicided to go finish the day on a few sharks.
We managed to catch 3 small Atlantic Sharpnoses and one giant surprise! While waiting for a shark bite we hooked a giant, after chasing it down and landing it... It ended up being a 15llb REd Snapper!!

Awesome explanation point to another great day on the water. Thanks again Guys for fishing with me again and I can't wait till next time

Pensacola Beach Redfish / South Again Charters / 27 August 2013

Great little 4 hour trip today with some local Guys! Seemed like we made the right decision to stay close to home today and try some old favorite spots. Not sure if the cooler weather has the fish confused or what, but they were for sure feeding today!
