Navarre Florida Fishing

A bit windy this afternoon, but a good trip none the less! today I was joined by the Vess group and the plan was to try and stretch some lines! We started out King fishing where I have been having great luck lately but we seemed to have some bad Mojo on the boat. We had two break offs and a couple stolen baits and after watching Capt. Brant boat about 7 Kings I decided we better find something else to do!…LOL

Once we moved back into the Pass we found our groove! We hooked and landed several large redfish fairly quick and even had a nice Hammerhead surface next to the boat. We tried for a few minutes to get the large shark to eat but he was only interested in our Redfish! To keep from feeding the shark anymore we moved over to the North Rocks and caught and released several nice Snapper, a scamp Grouper and a Trigger Fish. Its wild what all you can catch on that little patch of rocks!

Today was a fun day with a lot of weird things happening but catching fish all along the way!

Perdido Key Fishing Charters

It’s still plenty good here in Pensacola!! Today I had the pleasure of Guiding Kelan and Wayne on a 6 hour adventure!! We were looking to keep the drag screaming all day and for the Guys to be able to take some fish home to their families. We left out of Galvez around 0630 and headed for the Pass. Once we rounded the land cut at Shermans Cove we found the Threadfins schooled up everywhere! We quickly loaded the live well and headed for the Pass.

Once we made it to the fishing grounds we quickly set out a trolling spread and went to work! The bite was really weird today, it took several slashed baits and a couple shake offs before we finally boated a King. That pattern stayed with us for a few fish after that as well. Seemed like we would lose 3-4 fish and then boat one. Lose a fish or two and then boat one. Regardless, we were still able to put a few Kings and large Spanish in the boat fairly quick and headed for the Redfish.

The tides are making a change in preparation for a Neap tomorrow so the fish were not biting as hard as they have been in the last week or two. We were still able to boat 6-8 large Bulls in a short amount of time, before they began to shut down.Our largest one today was 27lbs on the boga!! By about 11 or so the bite was all but over, so that’s when we headed over to the Flounder rocks and Kelan boated a really nice Flounder on the 1st drop.

A really fun day with two great Guy’s who have a very bright future. Kelan and Wayne, I rewally enjoyed having you guys on the boat with me today and hope we can fish together again later in the year.

Pensacola Beach Attractions

Today’s bite stayed amazing all day!! After the morning trip I ran back to shoreline and met Rob and his Daughter Jada! We planned a quick 3 hour trip to see what we could get into!!

We actually hooked and boated over 10 Bull reds in a little 3 hour trip!! Unbelievable, seemed like if I was off the mark 10ft in either direction… no bite. Hot the spot just right and it was on! Young Jada and fer Father hooked and landed everyone of these fish on 10lb Braid on my Trout rods! It was a ton of fun to watch them do battle with such ligh tackle! Thanks again Rob for your business today and hope to see you again next year!

Pensacola Summertime Fishing

Pensacola continues to impress!! The Redfish bite is Still on FIRE, today I was joined by Timothy, Stephanie and Dalton on a 6 hour trip! We tried to catch a few Trout to start out with but found only smaller fish and not quite enough action to keep me interested.

We pulled up and made the run to the Pass and found the Reds still biting on almost every single drop! We caught around 6-8 or so before deciding we needed to put some meat in the box!! We took what baits we had left from Redfishing and headed out in the Gulf. With the Mass crawling with boats we fished a few different spots and were still able to hook three nice Kings in about and hour or so!

A great day on the water despite the crowds, It was great to see so many Famalies out enjoying the beautiful weekend!! Thanks again to Timothy and your family for a great trip!!

Pensacola Beach Fishing

Daggum the Redfish bite is hot!!! I don’t mean. “hey lets go the Pass and catch a fish” hot! I’m talking every single drift with almost every single bait!!! Today was a wild one for sure. I was joined today by Kermit, Chase and Johnny on a 6 hour trip. The morning started out really slow when the Kings did not seem to want to cooperate!

With Plan “A” no good, I decided to run over and try to box a few Flounder real quick. We boated two keepers and a Flounder fairly quickly but then it seemed the bite shut down! So thats when we decided to move over to the Pass and see if the Reds were awake and ready to eat!! Man ol man were they ever… We must have landed between 15-20 fish and lost another 15-20 easily! Another great trip out of Pensacola with some great Guys!!

Thanks Kermit, Chase ans Johnny for staying patient with me while I located some fish! I really appreciate your business and hope to see you again next year! Oh yeah,….. PLease give Mr. Fackrell a great report for me!!!!

Pensacola Redfish Charters

Another fun day! Despite the incorrect forecast and the Stiff WSW winds. The Benoits and I had a great trip! We planned a short 4 hour trip and it turned out to be plenty of time! We hit the Pass early and found the Redfish in full force. We hooked fish on almost every drift.

We did spend some time trying to locate some Flounder but had no luck. All in all another wonderful day on the water.

Pensacola Trolling trips

You ever have one of those days, where everything just seems to go right? Thats what happened to us today. Amy, Conrad, Mark and Ben joined me for a 6 hour trip out of Shoreline today. We left shoreline at around 0630 and shot towards the Mass to catch bait. After making bait we quickly moved to an area that has been holding a lot of Kings and began trolling.

In no time we had 5 nice Kings in the box and a few large Spanish. Making a move back towards the Pass we had hopes of catching a few Redfish before going after the Flounder…. The Redfish bite was on FIRE, we had double hook ups, triple hook ups. It seemed like no matter what we dropped to the bottom resulted in a near 40″ Redfish! After boating a dozen or so Bull Reds we decided to go to the FLounder hole and try to put some more Fish in the box.

We caught the rocks with only about 40 minutes of good tide left and were only able to catch two before the tide went slack and the bite shut off. We did how ever manage to land three Trigger Fish in the bay and a nearly legal Red Grouper. Today was another great day with an amazing crew. Thanks again to Mark and his crew for their business!

South Again Charters

Windy start this morning but we managed to get it down. The Buddy Group and I left out of Galvez this morning at about 0600 hoping to catch a box full of King Mackerel. With only a 4 hour trip to get it done I knew we would have to catch bait fast!

After rounding the corner and heading for the Mass we were met by some pretty solid swells and a stiff East wind. We managed a few baits and missed a King or two before the seas sickness started to get to my crew! We quickly switched gears and bolted for the Pass.

Luckily the redfish bite was on FIRE! We hooked up almost instantly on every drift! After catching about a 6-7 solid Bulls it was time to turn her back towards Galvez and call it a day! Another fun day on the water and another challenge to over come!

Pensacola Deep Sea Fishing

Another fun day on the Gulf! Today I joined Mr. Converse on his 21′ Sea Hunt. Our plan for the day was a quick limit of Amber Jack and maybe a Scamp and get back to the launch around noon. Things could not have gone smoother. After catching our bait and making the 6 mile run to our first stop, we were quickly met by hungry Amber jack!

The first bait we dropped was hit as soon as we stopped it! Mr. George had hung into a really solid Jack on his first bait. About midway through the fight, his rod breaks! Right under the reel seat. Now with only a peice of a rod and his reel, we continue the fight. Luckily we did manage to boat the fish!! After a short breeak, we send bait number 2 down. Same result hit almost instantly, after another short fight we manage to boat a really nice Jack. This putting us at our limit we decided to make a short little move and see if we could manage a Scamp Grouper before heading home.

Third bait we drop………………………… yep you guessed it, a scamp Grouper!!!! Craziest thing ever, we boated the scamp made a few more drops and caught and released a few Snapper and turned the boat towards the Pass. Thanks Mr. George for hiring me today and I hope to have a chance to fish with you again soon.
