What can I say other then……. WHAT A DAY!!! Today I was joined by some fun loving Guys from Alabama!! Andrew, Robert, Ron and Joseph met me at Shoreline at 0700 and off we went!
After making short work of the live bait we trolled around the Pass for a bit and caught a few nice Kings and missed a couple that we smoking the Torium 30′s we were trolling with! As the seas started to lay we saw our chance to make a run South. We caught a ton of nice Snapper today with a half dozen being over the 10lb mark!! We even hooked about 10 fish that we couldn’t even slow down!!
With Shimano TLD 25′s and the drag locked down we were still getting our butts handed to us!!! We did finally manage to get a solid double hook up on two nice Keeper jacks and decided to make the run back home! Today was another fun day on the water and another lesson to me!Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out…. Mother Nature throws you a curveball.
